Wednesday, April 29th, 2009NE Portland Sports Bar - NEPO 42 is a great new Sports Bar on NE 42nd Avenue. NEPO 42 is a great place to check out a Blazers Game, it is a comfortable non smoking environment and offers great food. NEPO 42 is about five blocks north of Popina the Porland Swimwear Boutique featuring Retro Swimsuits.
The owner Matthew got into the Bar/Restaurant business in a round about way. He developed a successful catering business and was looking around for a kitchen space to lease out. Because NE 42nd Avenue is still a little off the radar for retail he was able to get into the space at a price that was cheaper than just having a kitchen space to support his catering business. The result is a comfortable NE Portland Sports Bar that has awesome food. I highly recommend the Jalapeno Poppers which are made from scratch - very hard to find.
