UnRock the Bowl will take place Saturday, August 25 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park - in the grass bowl just south of Hawthorne Bridge.
Rip-wrap rocks installed in the 1980’s have migrated to the water’s edge. We will simply pick these rocks up and put them back on the bank. There are rocks for all ages and sizes, little kid rocks, big boy rocks and everything in between.
At the end of the day, Portland will have a new beach downtown. This will be hard but rewarding work. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Bring your friends and join the work party!
When: Saturday, August 25, 2012
9 am - 2 pm
Where: Tom McCall Waterfront Park Bowl (where the Blues Festival is held)
What: Blitz Group Rock Move Event - bring gloves and good work shoes
Why: Because people like to swim at sandy beaches.
